​Hi there! My name is Cristofer Sewell, and I'm the owner of Jackdaw Antiques.  I've been in the antique dealing game for over a decade, and I've got to say, it's been quite a ride. When I first started out, I was just a small-time antique dealer with a dream and a small shop in Knaresborough. But as they say, hard work and an unhealthy obsession with old stuff can take you places. And by "places," I mean to a slightly larger shop in a slightly larger town in Cumbria.

I buy from the 18th to late 20th century, which means I've spent more time than I'd like to admit poring over musty old books and trying to figure out if that teapot is really as old as it looks.

But despite the long hours and the constant battle with cobwebs, I wouldn't trade my job for anything. There's something special about being surrounded by all of this history, and I love the feeling of finding that perfect piece for a customer.
