A Tek Sing Cargo Chinese Shipwreck Saucer, circa 1822.

Measures 15cm in diameter, and is in very good condition.

The Tek Sing, a massive Chinese junk, sank in the South China Sea in 1822, earning the nickname "Titanic of the East." Bound for Batavia, it ran aground after attempting a shortcut, resulting in the loss of numerous lives and a valuable cargo of Chinese porcelain. Discovered in 1999 by salvor Michael Hatcher, the wreck unveiled a historical treasure trove, with the recovered cargo auctioned in Germany in 2000.
