Arita ware, or Arita-yaki, encompasses Japanese porcelain produced in the Arita region of northwestern Kyūshū island. Initially associated with blue and white export pieces imitating Chinese styles, the term "Arita ware" now includes overglaze-colored variations like Imari ware and the vibrant Kutani ware. Kilns in the area often crafted multiple types, highlighting the rich diversity of ceramics emerging from Arita.
